Corryong Baptist Church is a family based community of Christians with over 40% of the congregation being school age children or younger. We have been part of the Upper Murray region since 1968, helping people to connect with God and other people. We come from a broad range of theological backgrounds but are united together by our common commitment to Jesus Christ.
It is our belief that people don’t look for the badge over the door anymore. They want somewhere for their kids, somewhere they can find friends and meet God in a way that’s understandable to them. It’s a relational thing. There’s a spiritual segment in everyone’s life. People are looking for purpose and meaning and searching for answers.
Some people think God’s irrelevant, but when we look at the book he left us, we see things like love your neighbour and do to others as you’d like them to do to you.
That’s what people are looking for today, it’s not irrelevant. If we can do that as individuals, as communities, then we could do it as nations, and our world would be a better place.
